We Help Simplify The Process to Obtain Services

If a child or adult is suspected of having an intellectual disability, please call the Intake Officer at the Office of Intellectual Disability (570) 326-7895 for determination of eligibility.

If Eligible:

Do you have Medical Assistance?

If Yes, Meet with Intake Coordinator to determine further eligibility requirement.

You may choose a Supports Coordination Organization who is willing to provide services from approved agencies (a list will be provided when determined eligible.)

Supports Coordinator assists the family in determining level of need, funding and types of support available.

If No, Apply for Medical Assistance at COMPASS via www.compass.state.pa.us.

Afterward, a Supports Coordination Organization is assigned.

If Not Eligible:

  • If under 21, talk to your school district about educational supports (teacher, counselor, administrator, special education director).

  • Talk to your medical provider about physical health supports.

  • Talk to your mental health provider about behavioral supports.

  • Investigate other waivers.
